We are currently looking for dedicated Support Worker to join a team within the Wangaratta area to work with a customer that requires full time care.
The roster for this team is broken up into 3 time slots
- Morning - 8am to 2pm
- Afternoon - 2pm to10pm
- Sleepover - 8pm to 10am
Pay rates range from
- Weekdays - $30.00 - $40.00 per hour
- Weeknight - 39.19 - $43.71 per hour
- Sleepover - $141 - $222.00 per sleepover
- Weekend and Public holiday rates - $45.00+ per hour
Duties and responsibilities include:
- Personal care: showering, dressing, grooming and medication assistance
- Social support/transportation for social activities, shopping, travelling to medical appointments
- Domestic assistance: light household cleaning, meal preparation
- Supporting the customer in the use of aids and personal equipment
- Supporting the customer with complex and/or challenging needs
- Monitoring the well-being of the customer and reporting on their progress
- Provide updates on the customer’s progress following each service
About you:
- Experience in the field is an advantage
- Caring, compassionate & friendly
- Good interpersonal skills & written/verbal communication skills
- Reliable & dependable
- Ability to build rapport & good working relationships
- Comfortable using technology (i.e. mobile app) for accessing rosters & recording customer notes/feedback
What you will need:
- NDIS Worker Screening Clearance / Criminal Record Check
- Proof of Vaccination (where relevant) i.e. COVID-19 vaccination certificate
- Current First Aid certificate/CPR
- Current Australian Drivers License
- Reliable, registered, and insured vehicle
- Smart phone with internet access
- Certificate III or IV in Aged Care, Home & Community Care, Individual Support or Disability Services
- Manual Handling Certificate
- Medication Administration certificate is an advantage
